Over-load Relay test bench
The purpose of the test bench is to inject the desired current through overload relays and measure the tripping time in seconds. Ethernet to Serial communication media converter was used for interfacing with hardware devices.
The bench has the following functions: -
➔ Loading and unloading of overload relays in the pneumatic fixtures (8 nos).
➔ Selection of type of overload relays to be tested.
➔ Setting of desired test current from programmable DC power supply through RS232 serial communication.
➔ Measure the time, in second, of each overload relay connected through the Timers (8 nos.), through RS485, built within the test bench.
➔ After completion of the test, show the test result of each overload relay in the form of EARLY TRIP, NO TRIP and PASS.
➔ Record the test results in the database. The user can retrieve the recorded test results anytime for the Relay Model and timestamp wise.
